Fruška Gora is the only mountain in Vojvodina and a national park stretching across the Srem region. Thanks to its rich flora and fauna it is often called the "jewel of Srem". The mountain is known for more than 16 Orthodox monasteries built between the 15th and 18th centuries. The monasteries of Krušedol, Grgeteg and Hopovo are a priceless cultural and spiritual treasure of Serbia.
Fruška Gora is a favourite destination for hiking, cycling and nature trips. Vineyards on its slopes produce some of the best wines in Vojvodina. Local villages preserve the traditional way of life and home cooking of Srem.
The mountain has many excursion spots and restaurants serving game specialities. Every year the Grape Harvest Days are held in nearby Sremski Karlovci. Fruška Gora is ideal for a quiet break, an active holiday and cultural exploration. It is a place that unites nature, history and spirituality in a unique way.
