Maribor Pohorje is one of the largest and most popular ski areas in Slovenia, located just above Maribor. The mountain offers many kilometres of groomed runs for skiers of all levels. Modern lift systems and snow cannons allow safe skiing throughout a long season. Its best-known slope regularly hosts the women's Alpine Skiing World Cup, the "Golden Fox".
In summer Pohorje becomes a popular destination for hiking, cycling and nature. The mountain has many excursion spots, mountain huts and restaurants. Clean air and a mild climate make it ideal for family holidays.
Pohorje is rich in forests, lakes and springs of drinking water. Local restaurants serve traditional Styrian specialities and excellent wines. A cable car connects the mountain with Maribor, making access quick and easy. It is a destination for active holidays in beautiful nature all year round.
