Mostar is one of the most beautiful towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina, set on the Neretva River. It is best known for the Old Bridge, built in 1566 and listed by UNESCO. The bridge is the symbol of the city, linking its two banks. Every summer brave divers jump from the bridge into the cold Neretva, drawing thousands of spectators.
Mostar's old cobbled streets are the perfect backdrop for a stroll. The old bazaar is full of traditional craftsmen making jewellery, carpets and copperware. Mostar's cafés serve some of the best traditional coffee in the Balkans.
Nearby you'll find the Kravica waterfall, the Počitelj fortress and the vineyards of Herzegovina. The Neretva offers opportunities for rafting and kayaking. Mostar is a true example of multicultural coexistence in the Balkans. Watching the sunset from the bridge is one of the most memorable experiences the Balkans can offer.
